Describe the problem clearly
When reporting a bug, please include the following where possible to help us identify it:
- Whether you use macOS or Windows, and your OS and Hangrail versions.
- The steps you took, what you expected, and what actually happened.
- Whether it happens every time and whether an error message appears.
- Screenshots with personal information covered, if needed.
For sync issues, describe your WebDAV service and the error message. You do not need to provide your account, app password, or sync passphrase. For sharing issues, describe both devices' systems and network setup; you do not need to provide a public IP address or private files.
Protect personal information in feedback
Do not send passwords, keys, sync passphrases, private documents, or your complete clipboard history. Cover names, contact details, file paths, and work materials in screenshots before sending them.
For privacy matters, please use the email address above. Your first message only needs to describe the issue; there is no need to attach full personal records. For information handling and deletion, see the Privacy Policy.
Public issue reports
For general bugs and feature suggestions, you can also use GitHub Issues to read discussions or open an issue. This usually requires a GitHub account, and the content may be public. Do not upload anything that should remain private.
